About Us

Washington Insurance Brokers is an independent employee benefits brokerage based in Auburn, serving Washington employers with 5 to 500 employees. We help business owners and HR teams in Federal Way, South King County, Pierce County and across the state build benefits that fit their budget and their people. We work with employers in construction, transportation, agriculture, government and many other fields.

We compare group medical plans from Washington carriers including Premera, Regence and Kaiser Permanente, and we quote level-funded plans through UnitedHealthcare, Nationwide and Angle Health. We also place group dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary benefits, and set up HRAs, HSAs and Section 125 plans.

Our work continues after the plan is in place. We run benefits enrollment on Employee Navigator, hold on-site and virtual open enrollment meetings, meet one on one with employees who have questions, and help with COBRA, ACA questions and your renewal every year. We also keep employers current on Washington rules such as Paid Family and Medical Leave and WA Cares.

Carriers pay the broker, so your premium is the same with or without us. A second look at your renewal costs your business nothing, and we will tell you plainly if your current plan is already a good fit.

Washington Insurance Brokers is led by Brandon Hoobler, a licensed Washington broker who has worked in insurance since 2009. We also help individuals and families with health and life coverage.
